I don't know. Some do, some don't. It really isn't that bad though. For the price it was worth taking a little metal out. Less Weight. .

Yeah I ended up putting them on in the cold. It is suppose to warm up this week so getting anxious to drive it. Got back under it today and tightened up all the clamps real good so hopefully it won't leak. Enjoy them, they are a nice piece. Let me know how the install goes. If you have to grind anything or not.

if it makes anyone feel any better... i ended up installing these, outside, in 14* weather.... (coldest day in houston in 16 years)
i did this and motor mounts, and the mounts were definitely more of a bitch... both the headers went in with minimal effort and NO grinding...

This is what I am hoping for!! I am doing new mounts and subframe connectors at the some time. So hopefully everything goes fast and easy.

I didn't really think either was that difficult, just time consuming with all the grinding. Although I don't have a/c and that made the passenger side mount lots easier. I was able to do them one at a time and didn't have to use a pry bar either. Guess I got lucky. The only issue I had with the mounts was one of the bolts that bolt the mount to the block wouldn't get started cause the poly mount was hitting the washer on the bolt. So had to do a little more ginding on the washer to get it started. Just make sure to leave the bolts to the block loose to make it easier to get the big bolt to go through. Then tighten everything down. You might have to grind a point on the long bolt as well. Just some things I ran into.

When you move the Alternator to do the driver's side mount unplug the connector on the top. Don't want to pull the wire out of the connector (like me) or your alt. won't work.

i didnt unplug the thing on top of the alternator, i jus unscrewed what looked like a small ground wire and that was enough slack for me..
and yeah i did have to grind the 18mm bolt that goes through the mount, but only on the driver's side...

Not sure. I just wonder if LPP would sell the mufflers to their TDs by themselves? That way someone could fab up a custom TD system using their mufflers. They do sale the TDs by themselves so surely they bolt up to some other LTs other than theirs.

Finally got some decent seat time tonight. Lets just say, I am a fan of this system. Car felt like it picked up some top end and doesn't feel like I lost any bottom end. This system does have some drone between 1200 and 1600 RPMs. But nothing I can't live with. Cruising speed they have a very nice mellow tone but come alive when at WOT. But they are not near as loud as say a TD system with bullets. None of the piping is banging anywhere either.

Thanks for the compliment. Yeah I am working on getting some vids. Am going to be fixing the oil leak that I have in the knock sensor holes this friday. And will be going out of town most of next week for my father's surgery. Am going to try and get some vids at least by next Friday.
