mine wont fit... i tried to use that and it would not compress enough so that is what made me use the home depot one i got...

Like Josh had mentioned on page one, ..., Do you have the front lip of the airlid INSIDE or BEHIND the front lip of the base?!?

One reason for the clips popping off, & the lid rubbing on the underside of the hood is because of misplacement of the lips.
(Similar to what I told my wife last night too, ...)

hmm im not really sure, it is pushed as far back as i could push it reason A being cause of the bellows and B is because of those damn clips in the back! i got it mostly to fit but still not clippin on the passenger side...

I cant really tell in the pics, but it looks like you have it OVER the lip which may be the problem.

Make sure your couplings are flexible or the engine twist will put a lot of strain on the lid, thats what is good about the SLP hump coupler, you can find them cheaper than SLP though, way cheaper, I will PM you the link since we cant post non sponsor links.
