Just looking at it the better merge will definitely help get rid of some rasp. The merge is not the only factor in rasp so it may not totally eliminate it. Cats help rasp too.

I'm wondering if this y-pipe will work with my edelbrock stepped headers? I understand that it will have to be modified due to the 3.5" collectors on the edelbrock. The merge that the edelbrock has is a decent merge, but not as nice as this. Also I can't find the edelbrock one anymore other than in stainless which is 200 bucks plus. Any ideas?

I don't know if you could get it to work or not. You would definitely have to modify the collectors since the TSP ORY is 3". Also, I don't know where the collector location is compared to the TSP headers or Pacesetters. More than likely you would just have to get one under the car and look at it. Sorry I don't have a better answer for you.

i have the same question. I too have the Edelbrock step headers with the 3.5" collector. the Edelbrock y-pipe from summit is $200+ plus it on back order. the WS6 Store has a Kooks 3.5" Y-pipe to stock I-pipe but it's $400.
TSP need to come out with a 3.5" Y-pipe. Prop just do two straight pipes to a pair Daynamax Bullets and dump it at the rear axels. IDk should have just gone with a set of Pacesetter and I would have been done already! hahaha!

are these y-pipes made to fit under the cross bar that goes under the drive shaft and the torque arm on the car? maybe Im installing it wrong because i cant seem to make it fit over it without the end of the y facing up into the body unable to fit the i pipe.
anyone have pics of this y-pipe installed?

Just remove it. It doesn't really support anything. Take it off and you should be in good shape. If you have any other questions let me know!

i had it off for about a year and a half with no issues usually people take it off any, most of the time the y pipe bangs against it and people remove it to eliminate the noise

its stamped steel how much can it actually support

you can buy a drive shaft safety loop that goes in its spot and it clears the
y pipe

This seems like it would be a better idea to purchase this to replace my pacesetter y-pipe than getting a flowmaster merge and having a shop chop and weld. Any thoughts fellas?

Even if it's a hair more expensive to go this route, it seems easier (and i can do it myself).

Thanks in advance. If it works out like I think I'll be buying mine soon. The rasp is killing me on my LM1.
