Question Please help shift ligth install?

I both an auto meter shift ligth,the small one i think it called the pro ligth.What i need to install it in my 98 ss?Is any web site who show how to install the auto meter shift ligth?Please any help is going to be apresiated.Thanks guys.

Check out Install University, they have a write-up on istalling the Harlan shift light, I imagine the basic wiring would be the same: power, ground, trigger...

Ahh, good question...I don't have any personal experience with programming the autometer...but I think it uses RPM pills that you buy and plug in. Try the FAQ section on Autometer's website here.

I think you have to buy and rpm module with the rpm pills

yep, u have to have the rpm activation module, i have one so if u have any questions ask me, its really easy to hook up, just took me a while to figure it out

If i buy the rpm activation switch it have intruction on wich one was the tach wire in my pcm?99-02 pcm i think the tach wire is in a diferent location.You have to send the unit to autometer to reset it or it work strait out of the box?Thanks so much.

worked right out of the box...just call up GM and find out what pcm wire is the tach lead, then just get one of those splicers where u dont even have to cut the wire it just crimps over it, in think they are the marine ones

The write up on Install University has a section on identifiying the tach lead for 98s as well as 99-02.
