Do you think this would be a smart buy?

My QTP stopped working after only 6 months and I left it open 90% of the time.

I had two of the QTP ones on my last car. Never had any problems with them. Had them on there about two years. Never used the other brands so can't speak for them.

I've had one since 2004, weakest part is the pin connector, but otherwise it works great. Had to tighten up the screws that hold the blade on after a couple of years of opening and closing, but otherwise, I just wrapped the connector up with some weather proof tape and it been working good ever since.

I have had a QTP for about a year and a half. I open and close it all the time. If I buy another one it will be a DMH but only because they offer a 4 year warranty...

I have had my QTP for a couple of years, still working great. I also have heard of many that have broke too.

Get a DMH.

I have a QTP on my car and it's died twice already. The motor fell out completely the first time.

I've had it since March '09. It's about to go out again, too.

DMH takes two seconds to open or close. QTP takes seven.
