Here's an entire thread on the install: http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=435724
What type of oil cooler you run is up to you. We sell Mocal units, which are very good, and most people go with a 25 or 19 row cooler. You will need to figure out where and how you will mount it (probably in front of the radiator) then get a cooler that's the right size for that location. There's a chart with the different sizes available on the product page: http://www.improvedracing.com/oil-co...oler-p-57.html

well i have an LS1 with a 383 stroker and HTV2300 blower bolted on top of it. i currently run a oil presure guage. but would like to add an oil cooler with an oil temp guage.
im gessing i'll have to buy an external thermo stat if i put a cooler on there too.

You can run two sensors directly off our adapter. And yes a thermostat is recommended if the car is driven on the street at all or in cold weather. Although you could also get away with making a simple cover for the oil cooler that prevents air from flowing through it on the street or on cold days.
