Angry Catch Can Problem

I installed a catch can yesterday, and it has been catching the oil great. I replaced the orginal pcv valve while I was at it. The boot the valve was in was broken in half. I used this here to make a new boot here. I also ran some new thick 3/8' hose from the valve to the can back to the intake. Now my car runs like a complete PIG!

I have a code for both knock sensors. Now when I got this code, it felt down on power. I am waiting for them to come in, that why I haven't replaced them yet. My car has NO power down low anymore. What could have caused this? The motor does not rev up as fast as it did before either.

Do yall have a clue what I should do?

I did the same thing except I used 3/4" ID hose and just cleaned out the factory PCV valve with brake clean and reused it. Also the brass fitting I used was a little bigger on the threaded end to fit good in the 3/4' ID hose.
BTW, my engine runs just fine!
IMO, sounds like you knock sensors are most of your problem. And I don't think that PCV valve with the super small hole is helping any either; but I could be wrong.

I would guess youre not sucking in crap anymore so it may take a while to clean it up inside. Get some seafoam. I have a CC and a k&n oil cap breather. Works ok for me.

99Bluz28 I didn't use the pcv with the tiny hole. I went and got a stock replacement from orilley's. haha. I should have been more spefic.

I got some mopar combustion chamber cleaner today, sucked it in through the hole behind the throttle body, let it sit for about 2 hours and took it for a sprinted drive. She runs like a champ now. It has the low end power back like it should. The codes also went away, but I still am going to replace them.

Marklsi will an oil cap breather help also?

Just make sure you change the oil soon after using the cleaner.

As far as helping your problem I'm not sure. I am running nitrous. I don't like all the pcv crap. Change the oil for sure. Just a F.Y.I. Seafoam works for a intake/carbon cleaner.

Is it really a big deal to change the oil? I only have around 150 miles or so on this oil change. I have sefoamed my car (through the brake booster) and not changed the oil.

Marklsi I have been debating to take the pcv off. Do you know of a write up I could follow? Did it help any removing it?

Thanks everybody.
