turndown......
ok i might sound stupid but i am going to have to do this because my boyfriend is busy woking on his engine....
my setup is just like it says in the signature, i want a turndown and I have dual-dual tips, do i take off the catback as well and put the turndown there?? i am confused so any help is appreciated....

I had turndowns when I had my 4" Mufflex muffler, but they were turned down just a little behind the back of the bumper in the stock location..You may be thinking of a different setup, but thats about the only way with the stock muffler, unless you go with true duals, or put a turndown tip after the y-pipe like I think you mean, and have no other ehxaust, but then the exhaust would be hitting the ground right under your front passenger seat...might be kinda loud

an electric one is better right? any good sales going on anywhere for that one?

i had a QTEC electric cutout and loved it. There might be a group purchse going on but I doubt it. You could always try to arrange something with Barry @QTP though.

I have a setup like you are talking about, but I only use it at the track. My Hooker catback can be unclamped and dropped in about 15 minutes, and I clamp a dump to the y-pipe. It would be crazy loud on the street, but it saves about 50lbs of weight at the track.

on my set up I have a cut-out on each side They are QTPs They are right after the headers and the y-pipe goes from there got the switches right besire me hidden that is.Open them at the track and sometimes going threw town to set some of the local import guys car alarms off.Hope this gives you a little more info I can get some pics if you want the car is on stands anyway getting a cam and some dress up work done.Just e-mail or pm me silverz28camaro@sbcglobal.net Happy Holiday Later Ronnie
