Question What's required to match 2000+ manifolds up with a 98-99 SLP Y pipe?

What's required to match 2000+ manifolds up with a 98-99 SLP Y pipe?

These extrude honed 2000+ manifolds have the primaries ported to just over 1 3/4 inches and the collector nicely ported too. I would like to get the most power I can with them.

I also have a stock 2000 manifolds, stock 2000 Y, stock 98/99 manifolds and cats 98/98 & 2000+ for both set ups. I want to mix and match the best of the componets I have for the best results...if that's possible.

Comments apprecaited.

Reason I ask is because that's what I have to work with in the short run on my LS1 swap into my 91 RS. Sometime next year a streetable aftermarket K will be out and I'll be able to upgrade to LS1 FLP long tubes or similar for the RS with the new K member.

Your gonna need the correct Y to get it to fit.

Yuck...sounds like I'll be seeing if I can trade/sell my 99 SLP Y for a 00+ SLP Y.

What's required to make this work?

Had a friend try this.. and gave up.

If I remember right, the passengers side flange turned a different direction. Nothings impossible.. But why make it hard on yourself. Pick up a used y pipe.

maybe this will help, on a Mac Y-Pipe which is for a 98/99, the drivers side bolts up fine. On the passenger side the flange needs to be rotated and just a bit of length adjustment made. A local shop fixed it in about an hour.

The 99 SLP Y is shorter on the passenger side due to that cat in 99 being under the car rather than at a 45 degree angle like the driver side.
You will need to weld a exntendion onto the pipe to run it out to the 2002 cat.
