Header Y-pipe install problem

Header Y-pipe install problem I installed MAC headers and Y pipe about two weeks ago, and ever since, at low RPM's there is a heavy vibration on the gas peddle, and it feels like it is kicking back? I was under the car looking for any ratteling heat shields or anything out of place, but couldn't find anything. Other then the gas peddle kicking back, and the knocking sound it makes, the car it running great, but something is out of place and I'll tak any ideas, thanks a ton.

My buddy had a problem like this, first make sure that it isnt the car getting used to the new loud sound of the exhaust... Next check for any loose bolts or anything you can find that is either untightened or out of palce... Either way, good luck with finding the problem and congrats with the headers and y pipe!

You sure its not just the crusty sound of those headers? When I had them I noticed the noise down in that area. It sounds weird. Now that I have hookers the sound sounds like exhaust, not that noise that the macs made. Is that any help?

I had the same problem and I looked at all the areas you did and then I noticed on the drivers side from under the car that one of the primary header tubes was hitting the K-member by 1/32 gap. I took a 1/4" die grind bit in my die grider and made a 1/4" gap around the header tube, painted the k-member again and all is good
