GMMG's in, fitment problem
For you GMMG owners, i have a few questions/problems;
The one regular c clamp that comes with the kit holds the I pipe onto the factory Y pipe correct?
Secondly, did you have any problems securing the i pipe to the rest of the exhaust? Either i'm being to gentle on that clamp or that stainless doesn't want to give because i can not get that junction even remotely tight enough. The whole setup "pivots" there allowing the i pipe to hit the floor.
Also did you guys have to massage the heat shielding by the gas tank any?
Thanks for the help, i just assumed this kit would fit a little better than this.
I got a different style of clamp that is like a band clamp but it has a lip on both outer edges of the "band". I used that where the i pipe connects the rear assy, with one lip on the i pipe and the other on the rear assy. That thing couldn't be any tighter! I also massaged the heat sheild under the gas tank.
Initially i was hoping that this would be good enough to get me by for a few days until i could get it welded, but I have no NVH or exhaust leaks so im leaving it as is until i do have a problem.
The clamp by the way is a 3" bleed air clamp designed for aircraft.

I'm going to try and get more and better videos it was windy that day also. We just got done with some nasty snow here. Basically I got Kooks LT and Kooks catted Y they cut the Y out and installed 2 bends into the x-pipe and the rest of the pipes I got from bassani.
