Default Magnaflow or Borla

In the search of quiet power I think I have narrowed my choices down to two catback systems. Magnaflow or Borla They both seem to be fairly quiet and least amount of rasp with headers.

Please give your comments or opinions. Other than the price difference is one going to out perform the other???

One other option that I have been thinking about but don't know what it would cost is to buy a Borla Pro XS 1in-2out and configure it to look like the Magnaflow. What do you think? Will it flow as well?

Thanks for the help

Either of those 2 catbacks will be great.
I'd go for the Borla for its flexibilty. You can go open cutout when you wish.

I love my magnaflow, but I am mostly stock right now,
I will be adding 230/224 Flps, asp in a few weeks. I will let you know how she sounds then. I will be running the cats, but with the flps I have the choice of cats or Racepipes which I am sure I will run on the dyno and track.

Hmmm... I say Corsa! It's probably quieter than both of those, no rasp, and a real nice rumble at WOT.

I've got the magnaflow and love it, I did notice a performance increase and it's not too loud, when cruising you can hardly hear it, but if you step on it you can. I was debating between the loud mouth and the magnaflow, and I'm really happy with the magnaflow. I can send you a sound clip of my car if you want, let me know.......

Magnaflow here, too. Borla, sounds good, but the versatility is cumbersome. Gotta unbolt, and then rebolt when your sick of hearing it. Electric cutout is way better and easier IMO, and what I wanna do. The price of that with price of a Magnaflow comes out about the same.

No rasp huh? Try Macs with an ORY and a nice lopy cam and that set up gets raspy. My friend has his set up that way and its raspy but sounds really good. If you don't have a hardcore setup like that then Corsa will sound outstanding.

i dont think it sounds to raspy w/o cats. my friend had a vid with the same setup as me but with an ORY but he deleted it from his server.

Sorry guys, I can't get the video to work for some reason, I'll have to take another. I'm mostly set up stock right now, only mods are in the sig. I don't know how much better quality you can get than the magnaflow, the tips and muffler are polished stainless. You can just get the muffler and different tips if you don't like the ones that come with the cat back but I like them. With the rest of the exhaust stock there is no rasp at all, that's why I went with the magnaflow, cause I don't like rasp. I think your ok as long as you keep your cats.

I like my Borla. And like one of these posts said when I run it on a loud setting I do get sick of it after a while. But it only takes me about 10 min. to change plates. I find I usually leave in the 1 1/2 inch block off plate. Can't make a comment on the Magnaflow, never heard one. But I have never heard anything bad said about it either.
