You could just buy a "Traction Control Logic Module" for $55
Its made by SLP. It reverses the logic of the TCS, so basically its normally off until you turn it on (instead of the other way around).
You can get it at some of the sponsors at the right, like TBYRNE. Just look in the transmission section.

Its a piece of cake. Just order a non traction control throttle cable from a dealer and swap that in. Took me like 10 minutes to do this.

Not sure how much the cable is, was only 13 bucks for me because I have a big ol discount on everything at my local chevy dealer.

I was going to get the slp reverse traction module, but I just got in the habit of turning it off when ever I get in the car and starting it. You wanted to get rid of the whole cable so SilverGhost made a good suggestion.

Quick question.....if I install the reverse traction module, that means the trac off light will always be on, right?

It will remain on... The reverse traction module only simulates you tapping the ASR OFF button when the car is started.

Another thing to keep in mind is you can get rid of the actuall brake components in the rear for the TCS. There is a shoe style brakepad that presses on the inner portion of the rear rotors on the slipping wheel. All you have to do is take your rotors off and you'll see it, slips out fairly easily. Might save like a pound or two from the rear lol.

Does anyone know if this function can be reversed using LS1Edit?
