Default Cat clogged?

A while ago, I posted about exhaust flow being weak. At 2k, it felt about like what you would expect at idle. That was about a month ago. Today, i get a check engine light. Got it scanned, and it said "catalytic efficiency reduced". A P0040 i believe. I'm guessing the cat is getting clogged?

I replaced the after cat 02 sensor about 2 months ago. If thats what it is, is there a good bolt in cat set up. I planned on exhaust work anyways. From manifolds back. Any input on a good bolt in downpipes with cats, and y pipe. I'm gonna switch to mangnaflow exhaust, so look for that up for sale soon.

if your not dead set on keeping stock manifolds but keeping cats,i would go for a long tube + catted y combo.

does that allow for the 02 sensors to be put back in stock location?

I lie more on the side of why not keep them. You can still make tons of power and run cats. Plus, it keeps the hippies from having another excuse.

Don't let the Man tell you what to do, get rid of the cats. They suck!! LT's w/ a nice H X or Y pipe. Delete the rear 02's and if you really have too, just take apart your stock cats. and weld the outer shell to your exhaust so it looks like you still have them. There are no such things as high flow cats unless it is a straight through design.

Haha, no, the man is not telling me what to do. I dont see the problem with keeping the cats. Better than choking on fumes.
