Default Intake Manifold Gasket

I just installed my Intake Manifold gaskets about 700 miles ago and recently purchased a LS6 Intake. Are these gaskets re-usable under these circumstances or should i get new ones. Thanks guys

I reused my 70k mile stock gaskets on my LS6, you will be fine to reuse them. Just inspect them for any tears, and make sure they are still flexible and don't crack when you bend them.

I would get new gaskets. They are cheap and it's always better to do it wright the first time.

You can reuse them. But remember, they are a crush style gasket. They crush into a certain shape when you torque down the manifold. With that in mind, there is a small possiblity you could end up with a vacuum leak. The question is, is it worth it to you to have to take the entire intake manifold off and have to reinstall it if there is a leak just to try and possibly save $20? Or would you rather spend the $20 on new gaskets and have the peice of mind that you won't need to do the entire install over?

It's your call, and is going to depend on your preference. Personally I would spend the $20. Then instead of going out to fast food one night, or instead of getting that energy drink or coffee you usually get, it will easily off set the cost.

I would replace. They also can swell and if you swap them over to the LS6 they might not fit right. Mine didn't want to stay in place. Here is a pic to show the difference between a used one and a new on. You can see the difference in size.
