I'm building a 408 with about 520 to the wheels and they speced me out a 750 so that might be a little to big for a 5.3. Best thing is to call and have them spec one out that would be correct for your setup

I run a holley 750 double pumper on the same intake, 383. For a 5.3 go with a 650 the motor won't need the 750. Stand alone fuel cell and pump for your fuel on the nitrous. What's it going in? Fuel pressure on the carb shoud not go over 7 psi or under 5 psi. Another thing the motor will only pull so much air even if the carb is bigger, but getting it dialed in will be more difficult with the bigger carb.

That 750 should be the right carb for that application. What I would rec. is to give Edelbrock a call and talk them thru your set-up. I'm sure that they would be happy to give you an initial set-up for that carb... and that's free.

If you're planning on using your factory fuel pump then you'll have do some modifications to your system and install a regulator.

READ THE THREAD GUYS, hes going to be running a 6.0 with ported 5.3 heads LOL.

I'd say that may be alright.

F Edelbrock....who you really need to call is Patrick James at Pro Systems. He knows his **** when it comes to carbs. He made a 1250 dominator for our 565 that was spot on right outta the box, we just had to make minor jet changes for weather. Even if you dont send it to him, he could help you set it up and I bet he knows more than 95% of the carb people at Edelbrock.

My opinion.

You'll need the MSD 6010 box, a fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, throttle cable bracket, and a few other odd and ends

Wow that's a huge motor. I mean a 6.0. How many motors actually need all the cfm the carb is rated for? But it does depend on how high he is going to spin it. Call the guys at Holley, too.

mike when you get ready to put the car together ill help you pick out parts...edelbrock carbs are ok on a mild street car setup, but for a drag car id stay away from them...

fuel system will be simple to convert over...a holley blue pump and regulator cost under 100 bucks...all ill have to do is pull your sending unit and remove the factory pump and regulator...no big deal...

we will figure it all out when the time comes...

I have run a 750 on a stock 305 SC, as long as you tune it right it will work fine, but anything that has a cam and spins to 7000 RPM, a 750 is WAY easier to tune. A 750 works great on a 5.7 small block and will be great on a 6.0 GEN III, i am going to be running my 800 CFM holley i built myself on my 6.0.

Edelbrock sucks for carbs as far as my opinion goes, get a holley and dont look back, ease of tunability and makes more power.

If you are making a drag car out of it I would go holley 750 Double Pumper w/o choke tower. That will give you a nice power. I ran that on the old 23 degree 383 small block. Great at the track, lousy on the street. My motor liked lots of fuel and that sucker supplied it all the way through.
