Default Lsxr intake???

oK,i have 2001 WS6,m6 its stock!I was wanting to know if the following bolt on would work with my car(THIS WOULD BE DONE AT ONCE)

LSXR INTAKE 102MM
Big Mouth Throttle Body 102MM
Fast Toys High Flow 104 mm Air Lid
Lingenfelter 100 mm MAF Sensor
LongTubes
ORY
Cat-back

If this set-up would work...is it a waste of money!
I'm really not wanting to tear into the motor, just becasue is got less then 15k

imo the 100+mm is not gonna work so well on a 346 but nobody has seen tests of it on a stock car you would be better off buying a used 90 ot 92mm on here then a 85mm maf not an slp tho and get the 98mm ftp it fits on the 85mm maf's

they will work ,but not needed.a fast 90/90 mm combo only made 5 more hp than a LS6 intake and a BBK 85 mm TB,$850 new.get the complete exhaust kit from TSP ,nice X-pipe cat back.suspension modes with reduce E.T. at the track especially since it is a M6.you can mail you ECM in for a tune and pick up more power.these cars are tuned rich from the factory.

You dont have to do heads and cam first, it will work very well without heads and cam.

Itll just work a little "better" on a heads/cam car. Id guess youd gain 35-50hp minimum with a great complete intake system and exhaust system!

I agree, IMHO a 102 is way overkill for a stock heads/cam motor, and even a bit much for most 346's.

I made 419 at the wheels with 205 AFRs, a .558"/221 cam and the stock LS6 intake. Bumping up to a port matched FAST 90 setup, I only gained 12hp and 1lb*ft, up to 431rwhp.

Save a little money and go with a 90 or 92 if you have no plans to "tear into the motor". Either will be more than sufficient on a stock motor.

You will gain hp/tq from the fast but its a pretty expensive gain for how small the gains will be. The more mods to the vehicle the more you will gain from a fast.

Lots of misinformation in this thread...

Theres no need for a Speed density tune at this level. Ive used the Lingenfelter MAF before and the Halltech 103mm MAF too. Both worked great and made power over the 85mm GM MAF.

I ran the FAST 92mm on an almost stock truck 6.0L(stock .470" lift cam, stock exhaust manifolds, upgraded 90mm LS2 intake) and it still gained 21rwhp, so it doesnt take lots of mods, it makes power on everything! If you think 102mm is overkill, just use a 90mm throttle body on it.

You havent mentioned any specific headers, Ive really been impressed with the Dynatech headers and catback setup Ive used.
