Default ORY-pipe problem...

OK.. i have the headers installed. Trying to put the pipe on so i can lower the car to work under the hood but the damn thing wont go on.. Either i start by putting it in the I-pipe then it wont go into the driver side header.. Or, i put it in the header first then it wont go into the I-pipe. Any one have a solution to the problem? Bouth headers and ORY are pacesetter...

Might have to take the I-pipe off the hangers to get the Y
inserted to it and then rehang. Get the Y into the headers
& leave bolts loose enough for some wiggle room, "slip"
(or shove with both feet) the I onto the Y, shim & rehang.
The Y might want some anti-sieze smeared onto it to get
it to slip in with less violence involved.

Yea, was thinking about unbolting the hangers. One side (passenger side) slips off easy but the driver side has an "s" shape to it and it might be easyer to unbolt those 2 bolts. might try it..

I was doing mine by myself and I took a nylon strap around the y-pipe and attached a come-along to the front of the car and the strap and put a little tension on it. Key word here is a little tension!!!! I then wiggled the y-pipe and it went up onto the headers. Just my .02 worth. It worked for me.
