Default Nice work...here is my Double Cone set-up

With all the hot air trapped under the hood on these FBodys this type of set-up seems to make so much sense....

id see intakes like this being beneficial to Camaro's but I don't see it helping much in a T/A though. You've already got the intake up front (larger with the WS6 and it's plastic so it wont heat soak like a aluminum piece ... just my opinion.

Yea you need both A/F numbers and even some MAF GMS/Sec to really know. Going rich or lean can make more power which gets lost in any comparison.

I second more pics of that intake. You did not have to cut your support to do that?

Default More Pics......

On my version we did have to notch the support bracket and remove the windsheild reservoir. Re-located the reservoir using an old catch can. I don't know about the impact on HP but I do know cooler fresh air helps prevent detonation which can save your motor!

Loving both versions having been shown, only have one concern:
How do they do in heavy rain?
Living in Houston, that'a a major concern for a daily driver...

Default No issues in the rain.....

Never had an issue with rain on my set-up as the filters are behind the bumper.....I did open up the entrances in the grill to allow more air but it's not directly in front of the filters..more to the side.

Default Intake fabricator....

The guy who fabricated this for me is the same guy who built my car from front to back...Jerry Foster at Crappy Car Customs (613)-382-3290, Gananoque, Ontario, Canada. WWW.crappycarcustoms.com. He does everything mechanical and hand fabricates a lot of custom pieces for rods and Muscle Cars.

Nice setup and the fit and finish looks great. Do you have a picture of where you relocated the new resivoir?

A positive displacement blower would love any of these setups.

Default Some additional pics...

The windsheid reservoir is located at the extreme right hand side of the head on picture right behind the drivers side light assembly....

sorry we've been really busy at the shop we ended up using a plate to cover the frame notch and used the stock lower airbox to cover the radiator for cost. pics up soon.

that really sucks cuz im trying to built a system like this for my car after i get my SD tune. I wanna run collectors off the holes in my bumper 4" pipes into a nice Y into my TB. Just gotta figure out where to put the IAT and get a nice silicon coupler to go from the pipe to stock TB for now. Waiting for my heads before i slap my 102 fast on
