Head stud install question
Head stud install question Im installing head studs on my 00 ws6 with the motor in the car and I dont know how to get the far stud on the passenger side near the fire wall in. It is up against the black cover for the heater core. Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to get this in? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Do the rest of the studs go in OK? If it's just that one, I'd pull the head back off, put that one in the head and tape it so the bottom is flush. Install the head, remove the tape, and screw in that stud by hand. Then do the others normally...
Yes the rest go in fine but since the motor is in the car i cant put the stud in then put the head on over it because it wont clear the cowl, or atleast i dont think it will..Anyone know?

Well I got it, I ended up cutting into my heater box because there was a hole in it. Got the stud in then I put some fiberglass resin over the hole and Im gunna sand it down to make it look decent. Thanks for the help though guys
