what would be important to me is which one made the most power. i dont care if it sounds "good" or not lol, i just want the best increase in power. so lets see some dyno numbers, ETs, and trap speeds to compare from people that have had both.

Because you've had both I'm assuming? I have a LM2 ready to go on the car. My wife had the LM1 with stock manifolds and cats and I liked it at idle and WOT; cruising was annoying. I have longtubes and no cats. Does the redesigned resonator really make that much of a difference? It's still a straight-through design.

I'm not an engineer but I would think that any restriction would reduce horsepower, so a straight-through design would be best for power and speed. The Loudmouth is basically a set of straight pipes with no mufling or baffling. I don't see how that resonator would restrict flow at all, it's just a tube.

I added a loudmouth 2 dual/dual system on my car last year. I ran a best of 12.35 with this system. I didnot like the sound of the loudmouth 2 resonator, too loud. I ordered a magnaflow bullet muffler and had it immediately installed in place of the lm2 muffler. With no other changes I went 12.03! The magnflow bullet muffler did quiet the car down to acceptable levels and I went faster!

Can't be. 3 tenths is a lot for any exhaust change. I might have dropped 3 tenths by going from all stock to longtubes, ORY and a cutout. Maybe. I wouldn't think that going with something more restrictive would help at all. Go to www.dragtimes.com to look up weather conditions in a particular area on a particular day and time and then use the DA calculator.
