Default 2 foot jackstands high enough to get hookers in?

I'm about to start to install some long tubes. Will 2 foot jackstands get the front of the car high enough to get Hooker headers in?

Overkill. Search for threads. MANY MANY of them about installing long tubes. I personally recommend the 'lift one side at a time' method. Gives more clearance with less lift and only half the car up at any time. Might have to move the steering link, but thats about the worst of it. Good luck

I installed something, forget what it was, but jacking up on one side felt safer (you know that jacks can tip over) and gave plenty of clearance

Stand your Jack as high as you can for a Hooker install.

Thats definately enough....2' would have the rear bumper touching the floor!

I might have had my car 18-20" high to get my Hookers in.

2 ft is good... if you also lift the rear of the car you will find more room at the front.

If you have the car that high and still cant get the headers in, your doing something seriously wrong.

Big block headers are waaay bigger than LSX headers and I didnt need to put my dads old 71 Chevelle 2ft. to put those in.

You will like the way the Hookers Fit. I just installed a set and they fit great. The new Header bolts they sent in your package are probably WRONG. They send 3/8 16 bolts which are wrong for these cars. I have already called hooker and had this discussion with them TWICE. They are supposed to have their QC department look into it. Hope they have it fixxed now.

Sure, you don't need to go as high as 2ft... but it does help to get the RHS LT header in easier... and it helps to make you feel less claustrophobic...

...your dad's Chevelle has a whole lot of more room in the engine bay...
