Before I order a TSP ypipe, questions...
I have the TSP 1 7/8" headers which I put in about 18 months ago. At the time I had a Hooker ORY that I was told would fit. It does, but not very well. To get the drivers side of the ypipe together required a floor jack to force them together and then clamp it. Plus the angles are wrong so my catback is crooked.
This has probably been beat to death, but how does the TSP ypipe fit? It was my understanding the Hooker/Pacesetter/JetHot/TSP ypipes were all the same.
Info???
Thanks

I was in sort of the opposite situation a couple years ago. One of my first mods to my 02 SS was Hooker longtubes and ORY. I didn't really like the merge in the Hooker so a couple years ago I ordered the TSP ORY (original design) and tried to put it on. I fought with it but couldn't get it to fit like I wanted or hang at an acceptable height so I just scrapped it, put the Hooker back on and ate the $150. The new design is supposed to correct that fitment issue. It says on their site that this ORY is designed to fit those headers where as when I bought the original design I don't believe it advertised this. Of course, this information is still just speculation as I haven't put the new ORY on but I have a good feeling about it.

I just installed the y pipe yesterday and it fits great. I had no problems at all with the install and the fit is perfect. I am using it with pacesetter headers. This is a really good y pipe for the price. I would definatley buy it again.

you mean this one?

it's still two 3" pipes into one 3" pipe. which is the one i have. and it still has an enormous amount of rasp and still doesn't flow too great. it does fit pretty good though. but yall do need to put band clamps in the kit instead of those damn u-bolt style clamps.
i think yall should start making a y-pipe like mufflex did and utilize the 3"/4" flowmaster merge and then sell a true 3" cat back. or maybe one with a 3.5" over the axle pipe and 3" tail pipes. idk, just my $.02 i really just pretend to know what i'm talking about...

They should fit fine back and forth with no compatability issues!

you know for the price the TSP y is awesome because if anyone wants to go ahead and have a flowmaster merge welded in you still will probably be cheaper than the mufflex y. which is like $320 before shipping IIRC. (i'm talking about o/r y prices) i'm not sure how expensive some of the exhaust shops are these days but i do know the one i go to is really reasonable.

I just installed the Texas-Speed's new and improved y-pipe 2 weeks ago. I looks just like the link listed below, without the cats. Good merge and good fit.
