Default Rough Idle Cure

I've been experiencing rough Idle, almost diagnosed it as idle misfires.
I changed the plugs and the wires; but no improvement.
Then I thought to clean the MAF but it was OK.
So I decided to take my BBK 80mm TB off and clean it. I removed the upper right hand gadget (Don't know what it's called) but it is hooked to the wire harness. 2 bolts and to my surprise it was cake with carbon deposits. The passage which it sits in is linked to one of the air venturi in front and exits in the back.
After quite a lot of Q-tips and wheel cleaner and all the passages cleaned, I reinstalled the TB.
Motor ran smooth again and the problem was cured.
Just thought somebody might be intersested in this info.
This was after 20.000 miles and 1.5 years of TB use.

I have been experiencing this problem since this past summer.

Now I have something to try to cure it.

BY the way I have 35,000 very hard N2O miles, and this problem just poped up for me out of the blue on a cold start one morning, and I have had it ever since.

Thanx for the info.

That's the idle air control valve. If it is clogged, you will have horrible idle problems. Glad you found it!
