Cruise control cable??

Cruise control cable?? So, somehow amidst my turbo install I took the throttle cable and the cruise cable off to get them out of the way. (disconnected them from the little round black thing on the pass. side wheel well) Well now I have everything back together but the cable is too short and holds the throttle open.
What did I do wrong or what do I need to change to correct this. Thanks
