I used to run TR6's till my tuner told me, he had seen more problems with NGK's then all other plugs he had tried combined. Now I run Delco's. It's all a matter of preference. But I will say that I always seemed to have a more noticeable low idle misfire with the NGK's then I do now running Delco's.

I am actualy changing the plugs (stock Delco's) because of a low idle misfire and I think swaping the plugs is a good place to start. The car has 36k on it. I have read posts on here where people complain of the delco plugs burning off their "pucks" or irridum tips.

I ran delcos for over 10k miles before i put on spray and never had a single problem with them.

And OP, like it was already stated if your not spraying then dont worry about any of this and go get yourself some TR55's.
Did a lot of reading last night and I am going to try none projected I think some 7's since it gets hot as hell where am from in the summer and see how much more timing I can gain.

Thanks

OP didn't mean to hijack the thread.

I put those in my car last week before I sprayed it for the first time. Did some reading before I even thought about spraying the car and those plugs seemed to be one of the best choices. Haven't noticed much of a difference running the br7ef plug from the TR55's I was running before. Might idle a little rougher and surge a little more than it did before, but my tune needs to be tweaked some more.

They gained 8 hp probably because the motor needed a tuneup anyway.

As far as plug choice, motor only use thr tr55's or a tr6.
If you are spraying you are going to want to use a non-projected tip regardless of what you hear. You can use a tr6 and it will run but is it right?

It will run ok even with the non-projected tip just a lil rougher on cold mornings but it will be ok once it warms up.

For anybody that plans on running spray you should go into the nitrous section and ask questions. Don't be like I did and blow your motor up first then ask questions later.

+1,999,999,999,999,999,999 on the TR55 plugs. My car does just fine with them. Change them out every 15k and never had a problem.
