Which spark plugs do you reccomend and why?

I went to my local Advanced Auto today to buy NGK tr55 they said they dont have them ....but they have NGK tr5 are they the same thing? thanks

I thought the difference is the gap. Not the heat range.

I used to always have to custom order the NGK TR55s from Advance, but some of the them stock them now. Autozone has recently begun stocking them as well.

If Advance doesn't have them in stock, they can generally get them the next day.

Another vote for TR55's if you aren't spraying. I've currently got a newer set in my car and had another set in the car previously without any issues at all.

I'm slightly confused, when tr55 is said are you talking about tr55 (3951) or tr55gp (3403)? I keep hearing platinum which is the tr55gp just wondering what exactly to get?

TR5 are the same except they are gapped different. You simply change the gap to whatever you want.

I use TR55s or TR5s because they are tried and true for these engines. I have had good luck with a .045, .050, .055, and .060 gap.
