Default TSP 1 7/8 header install

I just got done installing these header this last weekend. Let me just say that the quality is awesome and so is the fitment. The passenger side header went in like butter. All went smooth. Now the driver side header is a different story. I had to remove my alternator to remove the bolt that holds the motor mount in place in order the remove the motor mount base to get the header in. Also had to unbolt the steering shaft for all to go in. Other than that, it was not bad at all. Once all was said and done, i didnt have any rubbing issues with the steering shaft or anything else. I am very satisfied!!

Yeah i have my car lowered. The only issue i think im going to have is on the passengers side. I have maybe about 3" of clearance. The drivers side has about 3/4" more. I think ill be ok though. I dont drive it all the time. Only on nice days!

Have fun. Are you doing it yourself or are you having someone install them for you?

Are the TSP units stainless??

I want headers so bad...but the install terrifies me. The manifolds are so far down in the engine bay and under the firewall...it really wasnt that bad? I have a friend to help, who is pretty skilled....I want to try this, but just cant pull the trigger.

I did this on my own in my garage with jackstands and a 2 ton jack. And the hand tools of course, no air tools at all. Its not that hard.

Being lazy and having a friend install.....I had an offer to borrow my friend's lift if I brought the beer, but I won't have the time between work, school, hockey, etc.

I'm putting mine in now.
had to buy anew jack. went to sears got a big heavy 3ton that lifts up to 20"
had to remove starter and heat sheild on passenger side.
also had to buy washers for the bolts the dealer gave me, 3 of them are too long (there all the same length, dunno why they dont go all of the way in)

Going to go down stairs and start the dreaded drivers side. Wish me luck, I need it, I started 24 hours ago (took breaks though, like to eat and sleep)

I noticed that about the bolts as well but they held fine anyway. I started it up and didnt have any leaks. I didnt remove the starter, but did remove the rear heat shield. How did the install go?
