If I were you. Save on the headers and go with a Corsa. No system can touch it. I put it on my stock Z and its almost stock silent on the freeway. Makes some good sound under wot. I dont think any other brand cancels resonance like the corsa and are straight through.

Pretty soon I'll have stainless ebay headers and a 3 piece Y to my corsa. not putting cats on at first to see if I like it I can always add em after.

Gatsby, that's kinda the same direction I'm thinking about going. I've already got the cut out so I can be much louder than the magnaflow when I want to be. I just wanted something a little quieter so I can still have a normal conversation.

Thats not really a good recommendation..

Your going to make much more power with better headers, the difference between catbacks in negligible.

I have 1-3/4 ARH headers with the catted y and a stainless Gibson catback. I would totally recommend this setup because it sounds exactly like what you want. Its fairly tame while driving normally and screams at WOT.

EDIT: It sounds like the ARH / Dual-Dual video at idle but is louder when you really rev it.

I agree with you shockwave. I've heard nothing but great things about ARH as far as power and fitment. I'll have to listen to the Gibson.

Thanks for all the advice guys!

Pacesetter LTs, ORY and Magnaflow catback and I have to say I love it. On my previous SS I have SLP LTs, SLP ORY and a magnaflow muffler through CME. It sounds a little bit different considering my SLPs LT were stainless. It depends alot on the Tips, My CME sounded alot quieter than my Magnaflow tips.

Factory slp dual dual, with stainless ebay headers, custom 3" ORY to 3.5" flowmaster merge to a 3.5" cutout. I love this setup even cammed, nice and quiet at idle and cruising but sounds real good wide open.
