Egr and air tubes block offs.
If I block of my egr and air tubes on my 2000 ws6 and then install a ls6 intake will I need to do any computer tuning?

You will have to edit out the egr code that will show up the first time you drive it. In most cases the AIR usually wont set a SES light,but might as well go ahead and delete it also. You wont have to do any other "tuning" per say from just adding the intake.

I read a while back that vehicles with egr run a different tune than those without egr. Is this false? I was always under the assumption that the car would run the same w/out egr, but would set a SES light if it wasn't deleted. I am interested in this as well, because I would like to get rid of egr when I intall an ls6 intake.
On a side note, I am in California. Since 01-02 cars never came with egr, would it be right to assume that removing it on a pre-01 car would not cause any problems passing the sniffer (provided the code is deleted). Or is there something else on 01-02 that replaces the egr?
