yeah i love the sound of it, no rasp, real deep and throaty, not loud in the car, just loud enough outside the car(which is pretty loud). and yeah my guy had to make his own hanger for the rear. he also had tweak my TSP y and fm merge when he welded it all together, but the end product gives me more clearance then TD's and the rumbler cat back. custom welded FTW. but i really need to do poly motor mounts, the header slap is pretty bad.

yeah we had to adjust the drivers rear hanger the exhaust came with and reposition it and reweld it to where it'd hang the way we wanted. After it was all done you cant tell we even moved it.

Car sounds good, man.

Looks like the Heads and other recent upgrades netted you a nice gain, as well. I'd love to hear it with the new mods installed. Keep us posted.

Awesome, man!!

I'm with you when you say you need to paint the muffler. The giant box under the car isn't all that attractive. But, like you stated earlier in the thread, its not like you have your head stuck under the car all the time. A little disguise in the form of some high temp paint wouldn't hurt though.

Like I said, car sounds great. Good choice of setup.

I have a mufflex system on my 89 that I think I am going to throw on my Firehawk. I have a Flowmaster single in/out muff. I am going to go with the 4in magnaflow muffler. There's a thread on here that several people changed to magnaflow muffler and picked up 20+hp just from the muffler.

I'm gunna throw the mufflex under my little car, But I plan on slipping 2 4" bullets inline of the I-pipe to quieten down this solid roller camshaft, and gunna put 2 3.5" electric cut-outs on my headers and run 3.5" oval piping slash cut right under the doors. I know its going to be a bunch of stuff to look @ but I want the car to be quiet when capped up and when I uncapp it I want the flow I need to let the motor breathe

Not to sound like an ***, and I'm only curious, but your numbers seem a little low for a h/c setup (But still a nice 20/20 hp/tq gain! .) Any idea why? We have nearly identical mods except for the c/b, TB and heads. I'm on an LS6 top end with a 78mm TB and TSP Rumbler CB, 224/228 cam and running 414/372 RW on a lean tune. I KNOW it can push more, just don't have the PAY to PLAY right now.

What are the 799 heads? I'm a bit outdated on my RPO's and casting #'s right now.

Is the car M6 or auto? Graph looks low for the mods. Any track times?

I need to watch your vid later. I want to see if that's the problem that I am having. I think I am having some problems with my valve seals

that's awsome man. i was debating between that exact set-up and the one i went with which is a flowmaster merge into a 4'' cut-out, then into a stock style cat-back. just a suggestion, mine's got clamps on the headers and then it's welded all the way until it starts to go over the axle, then there's a band clamp, and then it's all welded from there to the tips. makes it much easier to remove your complete exhaust from under the car when you need to work on things being only 2 pieces. no messing with a bunch of pieces clamped together.
