Default Head Question???
I just got a 6.0L engine from an 01 chevy truck, the heads are aluminum but i need to know the specs of them how can i tell. I have three sets of numbers off them i can post if it will help. Mods if this is in the wrong section please move it to the right one, thanks.

they should be 317 heads. they have 72cc chambers. basically useless for anything besides FI.

if you are FI then u might want to consider a p&p, valve angle, and maybe a slight mill.

useless? your calling an LS6 head useless? the 317's are the same as an LS6 head except for the size of the chambers. mill down the chamber and you have an LS6 head.
