I have mac mids and have nothing but good things to say about them. They were a wedding present from a friend so i couldnt complain. I contemplated switching to LT's but the power gain isnt worth it considering they were free and are already on the car. Fitment was really good on them compared to some of my buddies LT installs. Car made 420rwhp/390TQ through a stalled 4L60E

I've had them for a while. I can't necessarily complain about them. Over the 9 years / 80K miles, they've started to rust and look bad. Performance gains I guess would be minimum. I plan on going with Stainless steel LT's and mid-pipe next. They did fit pretty easily on the install.

If you buy a cheap set up ebay headers or pacesetters you wont notice that much of a gain. I personally seen it a few times. If your going to buy a set of headers then i obviously would recommend some LT's. That being said if you already have them and want to step up to some cheap LT's then the money isnt worth it for the gains is all i am saying. Take that 300 and buy an LS6 intake or some DR's and you would get more bang for your buck.

Default Mac headers

I had the Mac mid-lenghts and off road y pipe on my car and they worked well on a stock to a bolt on car. When you start doing heads and cam and Fast intake upgrades those mac 2.5 headers will be a little restrictive. If you dont plan on doing major upgrades and can get them cheap go for it. I would just buy some Pacesetters (cheap) and be done with it.

I currently have them on the car (see sig) but have 1 7/8 Hooker headers going on soon. Macs have been great no problems. Mine are uncoated and were used when I bought them in 2003. I have put 90k miles on them and had no issues.
