I think the LS6 will still be popular because of the large number of people that don't want to pay for the LSX.

We have 10 on order with only me, Trevor & DG having one reserved. I dont like preselling things to much, & it really frustrates me when some of the companies jumped on the internet preselling & acting like they are going to get theirs first. Maybe we should have a contest which shop really gets them first & which shops just acted like they were first to get some of the early sales

Why so few for a first batch?

First I heard it was 500 made for the first batch, then 50, and now 30. At the rate FAST is going are they even going to sell them?

This was from someone that is supposed to be close to what is going on over there.

We have about 20 on order and fall somewhere between number 3 and 5 of dealers to get them. They were working on 500, 50 were supposed to come in but it looks like only 30 were ready to go by the end of last week.

True, but everyone likes to get in line to be one of the first. I layed down $1000. for a C6 that won't even be built on paper for 3-4 months. To bad performance parts sales weren't like what these cars are selling for. I had two dealers call to sell me a C6... at MSRP. No discounts at all!

You are lucky to get MSRP and not a 5000 market adjustment.

True. I haven't seen any dealers asking that much yet.

The LS2 motor is going to come with a 90mm throttlebody. The aftermarket is just starting to make that for the LS1.

That's where some of the confusion is I think, how those claims were written is a little confusing.
I think the actual early testing resulted in a 20hp (I assume rear wheel hp?) gain on a stock LS1 motor (did not say which (LS1 or LS6) intake it had) and then 10-15hp on a slightly modded LS1 motor (again, no mention of which intake they started with)...but I could be wrong.

I dont believe that, there are lots of LS1's out there and I cant see them selling enough of these manifolds to really make a dent in the market. Even if it did get below 300 I believe they will hold their value for a long time.

exactly. the ls6 intakes are still the best intake for just a basic bolt on guy not looking to wring every few hp they can out of there setup.

$800 is a bit high, I've been offering them for $750 for a while now and hopefully going to do a TB (w/ core) and LSX setup for under a grand here soon.
