where to put the cut out

Default where to put the cut out

i have a stock exhaust right now on my 99 z28 and bought a wing nut style cut out and i was wondering where on the I pipe i should put it. i was thinking right after the y. but was wondering where u guys put urs

Place it where the floor pan goes up. This is right under the passenger seat. The is a big "cave" kinda spot where the cutout will do great. This will keep the heat away from the body and inside the car. And, if you get an electric plate, it will fit there very nicely.

I noticed this and thought to myself "this car was designed for a cutout."

What the other guys said. On the I pipe right where that floor starts to go up.
