Default Prothane motor/tranny mounts.... need advice

after my lt's and Y-pipe install i've had a real problem with the drivers side fitment... the header is resting against the k-member in two different places... i had my mechanic look at it and he suggest to try poly motor mounts/tranny mounts... since i'm gonna do that i'm gonna go ahead and do a new torque arm bushing too.... so my question is which ones do u guys suggest and where's a good place to buy them... i saw on ws6store website u can get Prothane motor/tranny mount set for about $100.... good deal?

polly motor mounts are great, but if you decide to get the trans mount to expect alot of extra vibration.
I ended up putting the stock one back on .

i was afraid of that... i won't mind a little vibration but if it's that bad i may not do the tranny mount... what exactly are the advantages anyway?
and will changing to a poly tranny mount even help with the header fitment at all?

No the tranny mount doesnt do anything for header fitment. Thats more of the motor mounts job. But i had all of them at one point and i will say that nothing moved very much, but the trans mount made it a whole lot louder inside the car.

How bad is it hitting? You can notch a small amount of the K member and be fine if it still hits after poly mounts.
I got my mounts from WS6store too its a good price.

the vibration is terrible and at times u can hear the header hitting and rubbing the k member... i dont know if the pass side is hitting at any time but it's clearing the k member by a quarter inch or more.... the drivers side is resting against the k member in two places at all times.... hopefully the motor mounts will help, if its still hitting i will have to dent or grind the k member a little.... i'm still just on the fence about the tranny mount cause the guy workin on my car suggested if i get poly mm i need to go ahead and do a tranny mount... which is fine but if it's as loud inside the car as u guys say it is then idk i might hold off on that... BUT, it is just a weekend car so it wouldnt be that big of a deal i guess.

I would go for it and keep the stock tranny mount if its in good shape.
If you don't like it then throw the stock one back in.
