SLP Powerflo??
Current Exhaust set up:
Hooker Comp Headers
ORY
SLP Loudmouth 2
I like how it sounds, but it's just so unpredictable. It's like having three different mufflers and switches between them whenever it pleases.
It's somewhat refined at idle(enough to keep the neighbors from complaining), it's extremely raspy between 2 and 3k and vibrates the whole cab, and screams at WOT.
So I was wondering if the $300 Powerflo conversion was worth it. SLP claims something like 6-9 dB quieter but I'm not worried about that, I just want a smooth, clean exhaust note without spending another 700-1000+ on a new GMMG, Magnaflow, or B+B. Would this help?

I bought my car when the LM2 on it, and I planned to add the Powerflo, it just sounds so refined and amazing. I decided against it. If I had the LM1, i would definitely add the Powerflo.

catted is always going to make it quieter, I'm not sure how big the difference is though. and I don't believe you found a catted y for cheaper than an ORY
I have a video of both my stock manifold, cats, and LM2...as well as headers, ory, and lm2

I have had the powerflo for about 5 months..with lts ory and cam. Don't expect it to sound like the demo on Slp's site.. It does rasp between 2 and 2800ish then cleans up. And is the only negative I can think of. Fit and finish is top notch. The idle is a deep rumble. And everywhere out side 2-2800 it sounds very tuned. Its a different sound that's for sure..overall I'm happy...yes the rasp bugs me. However the idle and outside the 2k-2800 rasp zone makes up for it. I'm sure a magnaflow bullet or something would help I just don't feel much like messing with it.

I have the powerflo with long tubes and ory on my car and love it. It's very deep at idle, and you learn how to drive through the rasp between 2200-2600 without getting it depending on throttle position. I've had probably 7-10 different exhaust setups on my car over the past 10 years, and this is my favorite by far.
