Default hooker max flow

Does anyone know if hooker sells a cat back that uses the max flow muffler instead of the aero. Also I read that you loose torque using the max flow muffler. (read that on a mustang site) but I don't see how that would happen.. Any info would be great.. Also If anyone know of any links to sound clips of the max flow that would br great.. thanks.. O yeah im planning on running this set up.. Hooker LT's Hooker ORY hooker cat back with max flow... Later

I think the first problem you'll find is that the maxflow doesn't come in a crossflow setup, meaning 1 in 2 out on either side. The next is that it doesn't even come in a 1 in 2 out form from what I've seen so you'd have to have the exhaust come out all on one side. Like buy the 3" muffler and have all the exhuast come out the left side of the car. The maxflow does flow much better than the aerochamber though.

Hmm. that kinda sucks, I don't want the exhaust coming out only one side.. Thanks for the info

Were these all run on the same vehicle and the same dyno. What shop did this test?

Those results don't show Flowmaster doing as bad as everyone claims. By those results it doesn't matter what exhaust you run.

The infamous Chokemaster is the crossflow replacement for our stock cat-backs. Most other Flows flow rather well.

As for dyno and engine info used for testing. I don't know. I found this list on this forum.

The test is from 5.0 Magazine I think, chassis dyno with a carbed 347. The full results are in this thread.

I believe that the flowmasters in this comparison were either 2 or 3 chamber mufflers though, not the 1 chambers everyone talks about on here.
