It's IN! (that's what she said). Just need to tighten bolts and hook everything back up! Thanks for the help everyone! Oh and for the record, the steering linkage/knuckle/column whatever it's called, was the key. After removing that, it was completely free & clear! We removed the oil filter first (because we thought that's what the culprit was), and I think it helped a little bit too.

For those that had to remove the oil filter, though, were you using Mobil1 M206 (like me) which are much longer than Delco? Initially, we were being hindered by the bottom corner of that filter.

No steering rod, no oil filter, and had to grind the k member.

Removed the oil filter for the driver's side and took a sawZall to a small patch of pinch-weld on the K-member for the pass side.. and disconnected trans mount and had someone push the tailshaft over with their feet. Pass side on the old SLP's was kind of a pain.

I actually had a rough time with Pass side for some reason. I had to grind a bit of the trans housing near the starter then squezze it in. Other than that they fit Perfect!

i had to remove oil filter and steering shaft, also had to unbolt motor mount on the driver side as well as dent my floor board to get the drivers side in. The pass. side all i had to do was unbolt the starter and it slid right in. (Hooker Headers) the drivers side was the biggest PITA ever. next time ill just drop the k-member much easier lol.

I flipped the car upside down and put em in thru the NEW top. j/k.

Disconnected the trans mount and shoved the tail shaft over to move the engine over. And also had to shave a HAIR off the k-member to get the pass side in. (SLP LONGESTtubes). Pass side went right in once I took the oil filter off.

I did not have to do anything for egay headers but then again the fitment for spark plug wires is not good either, good luck with yours hopefully you don't have clearance issues with Cyl2 and the spark plug wire.

Here is a picture of my egays and cyl2 primary

+1 to unbolting the trans mount. i jacked it up a little bit and had to pry it to the side a bit. not terribly difficult and made the pass side slip right in.

Pass side went up from bottom bingo driver side. Take oil filter off move steering knuckle take engine mount jack up motor a lil and slide like k.y. If you have. The 13/4 you prolly don't have to take motor mount loose but 1 7/8 are like puTtin a fat kid in the back seat of a f body

Still does not clear, I used MSD wires as well and had the same issue. I bought some pacesetters to overcome this issue.

Did not have to remove or cut anything for my pacesetters, but getting the dipstick tube out was a headache!
