TSP Duals with cats?
TSP Duals with cats? I'm looking to do TSP true duals for my exhaust, but due to where I live I have to face emissions every two years. I don't want to do a catted Y pipe because I really like the sound of the true duals. I would like to buy some random tech 3" in/out cats and fit them to this setup and I was wondering if anyone had done the same and what kind of results you'd had.
The reason I'm wanting to put cats on is that good cats would cost me around $300, but bribing state emission inspectors generally costs about $200 every 2 years, so if the cats lasted 4 years they'd pay for themselves.
So I'd like to see if
1. Anyone has catted duals
2. If anyone runs random tech cats and can let me know how they flow, sound, and last over time

Well random tech makes cats that are 4 inch outside diameter. I figure if I do TSP duals with bullets those are 4 inch diameter as well so I'd be just as likely to scrape the cats as I would the mufflers. So it shouldn't have an effect on lowering.
The cats will most likely be placed further up the exhaust, aka where it hangs lower than where most any small muffler does towards the rear. I'll show you mine and how it has to bend down where the floorboards are.
What you do go to ebay and look up thunderbolt cats. Knock the insides of them out and get you some O2 simulators or have the rear O2 sensors tuned out and call it a day or you can leave the insides of them in also. You should pass emission as long as they don't do the sniffer test (put it in the tail pipe) on your year car.

I decided to hold off on doing the exhaust for a little while until I could put more thought into it. I'm leaning towards running uncated because even if I do put cats on the TSPs they'll still be too far under the vehicle for the sniffer. So unless I want to do an over/under axle setup it'd be easier just to run without,
