Lid delete cai idea Has anyone ever ran a huge filter where the ram air setups opening is with out the lid?
Basically just tubing till it's down in front of the radiator?
The lid thing bothers me because if it was actually any better why doesn't any other car use it?

I wish I could find the thread!!! It was an epic post. Some guy bought a b4c ls1 camaro and cut the rad support and made his own Cold Air Intake just like you described. It looked retarted!!! I am sure someone can find the thread

The only purpose i can see for the lid is effectively being a plenum for the pressurized intake system.
But no one else seems to use this setup. I think if you run a big filter pre radiator and engine temp air it should do better than a lid setup.
But im no engineer so it would be awesome if someone has tried this.
