how do i fix this problem..... or tell what it is??

ok, now that you have read that, the car never threw me a code or anything....
well yesterday my car threw a code for a loose injecter circuit (which has nothing to do with the noise) but i had brought it to autozone to figure out what code it was.... well they told me it was also throwing out the code PO400. The description of it is Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Malfunction...
now it all made sense that maybe that code has something to do with the noise, but after my boyfriend fixed the injection circuit, the SES light isn't coming on anymore, but the noise is still loud as ever....
do you think maybe having 02 simms would block that light from coming on? I am just so confused as to why i didn't have that code until something else on the car was wrong (and they don't have anything to do with each other)
how could i fix that noise, or what could be the matter!!
thanks for reading and sorry so long!
thanks, melissa
I had a few cars come to the shop with a funky noise eminating from the exhaust.
From your description thats what it sounds like you said it was coming from??
"loud squeeling" "by right rear tire"
Anyways without hearing it, I have seen people playin' jokes on others with a piece called a muffler wistle.
The novelty shops sell them, you put them in the pipes & push them in w/a stick.
Damn things are hard to get out & sound weird much like you describe.
I dont know if that is your problem but??
Is it loud enough to put up a sound clip of it?
but it isn't all the time... only when i start the car... is that how they are? i don't really know if that is it.... or maybe it could be

has it ever dripped any fluid from the back of the car? A rear can cause the same noise you are describing, and will sometimes be intermittent. This is something that should be checked up on by a compitent mechanic...good luck.
