Setup is in sig, Im In the process of installing pulleys and ive finally come to the point where I need to start thinking about heads and cam. Being in Jersey I need something mild enough to be smog legal(or be able to pass w/ a good tune) but I want a setup that will give me a nice gain on a tight car budget..So far im looking into the TSP 224R Cam and PRC Stage 1.0 LS6 CNC Ported Heads. All opinions appreciated.

vengeance racing had a nice head/cam kit for a little more.I believe you need a cam with a negative overlap to help pass emisions.

Most people seem to prefer 5.3L Stage 2.5 heads over any LS6 head, ported or otherwise.

I'd probably get those heads and a TSP Torquer v2 Cam. Don't forget a new oil pump and timing chain.
