Is this LS1 intake ruined? Please look@pics!

Bought this manifold used and cleaned it up and painted it. Now its ready for install. But I have now noticed small chunks missing from around the injector area. My buddy says it should be fine but I'm worried. The injectors still seal.
Is this normal? If not, then what caused this to happen?

Hard to tell, have your camera focus on the intake and not the carpet.....

Camera sucks but the pitting or chunks missing are visible

Use the close up function on the camera next time. Its the flower icon

If the chunks missing are clean grooves seen in all 8 INJ ports, roughly same orientation, then those are factory nothing to worry about

Pictures are out of focus but you can see the pitting. If you are running it, check for any leaks if you don't see any run it.

It shouldn't leak. The injector bores seats are perfect.

Dam.. really?
Looks like there was some casting bubbles/pockets around the injector boss, that flaked off. Some of the bosses still look good, but have bubbles. Weired, but still functional since the injector doesn't spray the intake manifold.
