Bingo.. wonder how I guessed that

Smooth bellow is the problem. not the lid

99.9% of the time, the front clip problem is solely due to install errors. No matter the brand of the lid.

I agree completely.

I have seen so many people (friends) with ALL different types of lids over the years install or fit them wrong.

Also, I think that garbage gasket that K&N provides helps aid in the problem. My Holley Powershot filter seals up perfect. No leaks, no fliter movement when pushing it from the bottom. Actually, it seals so tight that ususally the filter will be stuck to the lid when I pull it off.

yeah the holly filter is great. now sometimes u will get a bad molding, but i talked to tsp and they said if it woudlnt fit send it back and they would send another, they had a few that had a mold that was a little off. TSP has great customer service
