Default ls6 intake vs fast

I am planning on upgrading my injectors and getting a ported throttle body. I was wondering if it would be beneficial for my set up to install a fast intake. I have a stock short block with tsp torquer3, prc 2.5 5.3 heads, stock ls6 intake, underdrive pulley, long tube headers, ory and magnaflow catback. It put down 420 rwhp and 395 tq. I know it would help out but it is hard to spend $800-1700 (depending on 92/92 or 102/102 with new fuel rails) for 10 rwhp. I am just looking for some opinions to help me make up my mind.

Well you have an ls6 now so I would just leave it... The main question is if you are really needing that extra 10hp to achieve a goal of yours or if you could live with out it... Fast intakes are nice but IMO not 1000$ nice! You could easily put that money towards other go fast parts or a new tv for your house or for a house if you don't have one or a girlfriend(last one is not suggestive but is an option lol)! You can fo alot with that kinda money if your only looking at 10 to 30hp! JM2C!

You'll probably see another 20 from the fast and bigger tb but that will also be a lot heavier on your pocket.

FYI a LS2 intake does zilch on a LS1 except for maybe a few hp up top, plus its not a direct swap

The main question is , do you go to the track enougth to justify the extra money for it. I asked the same question back awhile ago, everyone said keep my BBK. I put down the numbers in my sig with the BBK. Going to the track this friday to see what it will do. I only go to track once or twice a year so in my opinion its not worth it.

You have to understand the fast gain 10 hp on a stock ls1 motor compaired to the ls6 intake. The fast on you car because you have heads and a cam will gain way more then 10 hp. With a good tuner i would imagine atleast 20 hp if not more. Do a search my man. Their is so much info on the fast intake on this site its unbelieveable

sell your ls6 that will pay for a 90-92mm tb and i just saw a painted and smoothed fast 90 for 575 thats a steal so you will be out 600$ and i bet 15-20 rwhp 8-12 tq. your heads need more air than a ls6 intake can deliver
