Default soild engine mounts? advise needed!

i want to run soild engine mounts with a poly trans mount. what are the pros and cons i dont care about the vibration either. i hear that poly trans can crack the housing and soild engine can score the cyclinders? is that correct? im only around 400rwhp and going to do longtubes and a larger cam soon.. advise needed thanks

I've never heard anything about solid mounts, and poly trans mount will only hurt it if the motor mounts are softer. I.E. rubber motor mounts with poly trans mount, causing too much stress on the transmission.

I ran the combo you are looking at for 2 years with 400+ rwhp and never had an issue. Vibrations were not bad either.

I'm running solid MM and a poly mount on my M6. I love it! The vibrations are not really noticeable, I actually like the small amount of vibrations the solids have added to the car.

Plus, no more engine movement, all the power transfers to the drive train now

Go towards the end of this video and there is an engine bay shot(my car):

I have been using spohn solids for over 2 years now and I love them. I have never had any problems and I am also using a poly trans mount.

I've got poly engine mounts and I think that if I were doing it over I'd probably go with solid mounts just to free up some weight. The vibrations associated with poly engine mounts aren't even worth commenting on, but I had a BAD vibration with a poly trans mount. I'm talking about being able to watch coins walk across the carpet at like 55mph. I'm pretty sure there was a "WTF?" light that came on in the dash.

The rubber mount went back in and I'm happy once again.
