Default Seal Or No Seal?

I have a K&N Filter and it comes with a seal that goes on the underside of the airlid.... do you still need this seal with an aftermarket lid???

the slp one and fernco are both less flexible than the stocker...id think youd have a defective lid but thats me...i had/have no issues with my slp lid whatsoever...once again see if it bolts on fine without that stuff on and if it doesnt fit you know its the lid itself.

If your running a K&N filter, then yes, You need that seal. If not, the filter will not seal to your lid.

This is why most of us prefer using the Holley or other filters (even a paper filter) that do not require a "bandaid" to fit our cars.
