Default Another PIG in a POKE?????

First off, thanks to all you guys and I guess specifically shops that have tested thus far the LSX manifold out. I must readily admit I am somewhat suspicious of the potential gains using this manifold in stock form because it seemed to take some time to get this into production and MY OPINION is and this is only MY OPINION, ONE of the reasons for that is that the LSX manifold was NOT consistently giving the gains hope for by the FAST folks. I truly hope I am proven wrong here and that the FAST manifold is truly a breakthrough but it certainly has had some mixed reviews initially. I have GREAT respect for anyone venturing out with new technology like what the FAST folks have done and should their product prove to be a good one they deserve all the support we can give them.

Other items that had promise and had very mixed results if you remember were to name a few Granatelli MAF's, ported MAF ends, 80MM throttle bodies, non-standard type air intake systems (open element) etc.

I think our resposibilities as consumers is that is we find a problem with any of these new products, we need to feed that back to the manufacturers to give them at least the opportunity to make changes if needed. We all VOTE with our money when a product proves to be a good one.

Let the testing continue!!!!

The way I see it, is that if you can't get the air out, why try to get more in? Most of the cars tested will either not be able to move the air efficenttly (clogged exaust), or will be maxing the limits of the intake opening. I personally think the 90mm will be the way to go for the H/C guys and not just the strokers. We will find out soon.

Beast, I think you have a point but I think Absolutes new TB's might be the ticket for the LSX intake. I know I'd get an 80mm from Jay before I spent ~$475 for a FAST 78mm TB.

Like Tony mentioned maybe Jay will decide to do 90mm one.

It would be nice if he does a 90mm version. Surley he will follow the diffrent bolt pattern of the FAST 90mm intake.

It would make the 90mm intake far more appealing that's for sure if he did.

These intakes need to be track tested. The dyno numbers will vary from car to car. I personally get better performance from my car than the low dyno numbers indicate that it should. I think the intake has great potential with the right application. I would love to be able to prove that but I'm still recovering from Christmas.LOL. If concrete results aren't established pretty quick I think the market value of this long awaited item will quickly depreciate. That's just my .02
