I just put my Pacesetters on last night. The headers went in without too much trouble. Had a little trouble on the drivers side. I also had to notch the k member just a little. Had to drop the starter. As far as the y-pipe goes. My brother and I cut it apart before we ever hooked it up. The way they made the pipe is pretty sorry. I restricts flow on one side. Someone on here has a picture of what I am talking about. Anyway I cut the y-pipe apart and cleaned the inside up and fit it up under the car and tack welded it. So that was what I had to do to get mine to work. FWI, My car went from having Hooker shorties with a SLP y-pipe(with cats) to Pacesetters with their y-pipe(no cats) that I had to modify. I noticed a little difference in power and a LOT louder. My car is a A4 with a mild converter. I can spin the tires through first and almost completely through second. All in all I would recommend the Pacesetters and have someone make you a y-pipe. Good luck.

I am getting knock on the floorboard from what i guess is the ORY. I also noticed flashing SES light when i was idling at mcdonalds this morning and it was knock knock knocking the floor board.

Gotta find a solution to this problem.. I'd advise folks that this kinda sucks , i know i got an american car, but damn the SES light shouldn't go off because of the headers. Maybe i need some new mounts 70K miles, i dunno. They hung a 2x4 over the ory and took 4 men to hang off it while hot to help angle it down.

I do notice some engine movement at idle. Maybe my mounts are shot. Trans definitely needs poly.

Any tips from fellow pacesetting folks..

video of engine movement..

The headers are a great value. The Y pipe is a total POS. Either have a custom Y made or go with duals. BTW, I have a set of 2.5" mandrel bent duals(new) with X pipe for sale for $350. Email jeffharmon70@hotmail.com if interested.

My car is lowered and I just love to see tips on cars, but I love the sound of true duals.

So your true duals replace my hooker catback?

How loud? lol.

Btw i believe the pacesetter LT may be hitting the k member.

Take a look at my idle video here. Is this excessive motor movement at idle?

It's not pretty. You don't want to see it. It was designed to not scrape on speedbumps, but rather to smack floorboard. The Y collector was welded by illegals i think, or high school students. I'm really dissatisfied with my setup.

Even Texas-speed said they had a ton of people complaining about both K MEMBER hitting and floorboard hitting.

I wish i had spent a few hundred more on better headers now.. Save a buck spend a bunch.

Y pipe and headers are too different items. A custom made y pipe is what you needed.
